In Bali, after the rice fields are harvested, ducklings are herded into the fields to do their share in helping prepare and fertilize the rice paddies for the next the planting. They waddle in quaking and honking and set to work irrigating the land as they dig their beaks and webbed feet into the watery sludge, gobbling up worms, eels, and insects.
