I Can Only Hope – The World

I CAN ONLY HOPE – THE WORLD

I’ve lost my mind 

watching this Global tragedy 

unfold

As I sit here 

reflecting & wondering

What if–

Death is going to come 

knocking at my door 

I keep it 

closed + locked

hoping it won’t find me

hoping it won’t infect me

I can only hope

But then for some odd reason 

I come to a peaceful place

letting this wave of pandemic

wash over me

Accepting 

I can’t control anything

I can send out 

healing + loving thoughts to

my family 

my friends

my neighbors  

The World

I can only hope 

for their safety

for their wellbeing

And then I fall apart again

in tears

thinking more about 

The World

How brutal it is—

I question

Do I even want to stay?

It’s like WWIII out there!

Because many heartless people are still 

hating + fighting + bombing + destroying

even during these times of crisis

That’s how it has always been

But what if— 

Everyone In The Entire World

STOP

We have a moment of

CALM

All lives are recognized as 

IMPORTANT

People will get the care they need

EQUAL

Countries stop fighting

All wars end

Lives are saved

The Earth heals

Relationships mend

We all forgive 

COME TOGETHER 

caring + sharing + supporting 

Loving one another

WORLD PEACE

What would happen then?

As I dry these falling tears…

I can only hope
